Is Your Message Life Changing?

What are the strategies, tools and psychology of presenting, and how can you use them in your public speaking or 5 min. video?

In this one hour webinar presentation, Roberto Monaco shares the most important structures and principals of public speaking with our Mortgage Revolution speakers so that they can be more effective at helping loan originators change their lives.

From Passion To Purpose:

“What would you do if you knew you could not fail?”

This was the quote that changed Roberto’s life several year ago, which inspired his quest for role models, resources and strategies that could help him become more successful in life.

His search and research lead him to read more than 400 books in the areas of sales, influence, peak performance, psychology, presentation skills and leadership.

He has created the opportunity to train with the best success coaches in America, obtained advanced training such as an MBA in Marketing, Master Practitioner of NLP and Hypnosis.

Most importantly, during the process he discovered his life’s purpose: to empower people to become the best version of themselves.

On Presentations:

According to Aristotle, you need three things in a presentation:

  1. Ethos (Character, Persona)
  2. Pathos (Emotional Appeal)
  3. Logos (Logic)

Framework:

  • Opening: Don’t be predictable
  • Pre-Frames: How you position the information
  • Body: The Meat – Modular or Problem/Solution
  • Pre-Close: Wrapping up, lists of features/benefits, I know what you’re thinking
  • Close: Be very specific

The Five Elements of Presentation:

  1. Presenter: Tell your story, humanize your presentation, share your vision
  2. Message: Is your message life changing?
  3. Audience: Your presentation is about them, not you
  4. Method: Leaders have to tell stories in order to move people through emotion
  5. Medium: Regardless of the medium, the fundamentals are the same (back to Framework)

Telling Your Story:

  • Came from a place of slavery or hardship
  • Experienced a life-changing event
  • Transformation
  • Vision is larger than personal goals

Creating An Emotional Connect:

  • Story Telling
  • Metaphors
  • Analogies
  • Video
  • Demonstration
  • Audience Participation

People Use Logic To Justify Their Emotions:

Claim: ex: There is still a lot of opportunity in this market for ______

Evidence (Logic): Statistics, Proof, Data…

Illustration (Emotion): I learned how to do ______, and now I am successful in _________. If I can change my life doing _____, then so can you.
